「八重山ライブラリー」は八重山の文化と消えゆく記憶を未来に繋げたいという思いを持った３名の女性によって、それらを映像に記録する活動として2018年6月にスタートしました。
100年後を生きる人たちへ。
出会えるはずはない遠い未来の子孫たちに、今を生きる島人の姿を、
その息づかいと共に残し伝えたい。時を超えた出会いを願っています。
Akiko Mizuno photographer, Asako Hirota video director, and Yoko Urago video director-producer started the project “Yaeyama Library” in June 2018.
This project is dedicated to recording the memories of islanders from Yaeyama
and creating a digital archive for future generations.
